While it is not necessary to become a member of First Baptist to attend our services and participate in our ministries and programs we invite you to consider church membership as an important way of identifying with our fellowship and of joining us in our mission of leading people to a love relationship with Jesus Christ. 

The first step to becoming a member is for you to be a Christian.  If you have not already made that decision our ministers or members are always available to answer questions and guide you in how to become a Christian.  Once you have become a Christian by accepting Christ as your Savior you will want to be baptized by immersion as a symbol of your new life.  Following your profession of faith in Christ and baptism by immersion you will be welcomed as a member of First Baptist Church.

If you are coming from a Non-Southern Baptist Church and have not been baptized by immersion we would ask for the privilege of baptizing you before you became a member.

If you are already a Christian who has been baptized by immersion and are a member of another Southern Baptist Church you may simply request a transfer of membership from that church to First Baptist Church.

If you have been a member of another Southern Baptist Church but no longer have active membership or your membership records are not available you may join First Baptist Church upon your statement that you are a Christian and have been baptized by immersion in another Southern Baptist Church.  We will also welcome you as a member upon your statement that you are a Christian who has been baptized by immersion in a church of another denomination whose beliefs about baptism and salvation are like those of First Baptist Church.
