Missions Ministry

Women on Missions

The Missions Ministry of First Baptist is busy both in education and in action.  Women on Missions meet the third Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. to study current mission work around the world in order to pray more effectively for the missionaries and to lead the church in supporting missions.

An ongoing project of Women on Missions is providing holiday celebrations for the residents of Booneville Human Development Center several times each year.

The Center is always in need of the following TRAVEL SIZED 2 OZ items: shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, hand soap, hand lotion, hairspray, shaving cream, and baby wipes. Also needed are regular sized bars of hand soap, men's and women's combs and brushes, toenail and fingernail clippers, washcloths and disposable razors. Baby items of soap, shampoo, powder, lotion, oil and disposable diapers of all sizes are always in demand.

We also use ballpoint pens, #2 pencils, 98 count boxes of crayons and small coloring books with Christian themes.

There is also a need for feminine hygiene products.

BAGS. We give away large numbers of cloth bags each week and we are always in need of them. For many years the Center has received bags hand made by folks just like you. For more information please contact Bro. Bob at the Center.

If you need a place for those good used clothes please send them via UPS to:

As you pray do not forget this vital ministry to Migrant Farm Laborers. Many of them have never met Jesus Christ and this is the very purpose of all that we do at the Center. Please pray for them to respond to the personal witness that they receive from those that labor at the Center. Thank you for your continued interest in missions around the world and may the Lord bless you real good!
