COVID-19 CHURCH RESPONSE UPDATE

An Update For Our Church Family
Wednesday, April 1

I wish I had a good April Fool’s Joke for the day…we all probably could use a laugh! I do want to mention 2 of my favorite verses in the Bible that mention fools – “Only fools say in their hearts there is no God.” Psalm 14:1 and “Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.” Proverbs 29:11

I hope that your received our latest update that was mailed to our entire church family on March 24. Please refer to it for a complete look at all of our ministries and information on how to stay connected. I will continue to send a weekly update (via email) on things that have changed and any other important information to pass on to you. We are hearing stories each day of how God is working in people’s lives…people being saved, prayers being answered, families spending time together, and people learning to depend on God more and more. These are tough days, yet God is good – all the time!

Here are a couple of things to highlight this week:
Our Church Office
We made a decision last week to close the office to folks coming in, however the staff is working to help you in any way we can. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm. All our facilities remain closed.

This Sunday, April 5th
This coming Sunday is Palm Sunday. Every year we have celebrated the Lord’s Supper on this Sunday. It has always been a meaningful time of worshiping together. Even though we are not meeting together, I will be leading our church this Sunday to participate in the Lord’s Supper as people are watching online or listening on the radio. I will explain it step by step and give everyone an opportunity to participate where they are.

Typically, we use crackers and juice for the elements, but you can use whatever is available at your house. Any kind of bread or cracker, or any kind of drink will suffice. Remember, the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic representation of Jesus’ body that was broken for you, and His blood that was shed for you. God understands the circumstances we are in…it is the worship from our hearts that honors and pleases Him. If you have any questions please let me know. You can respond to me on this email.

Communicating Needs
As we journey through this together, please communicate any needs that you may have or needs of others that you are aware of…we are trying to minister to those needs as we hear of them. If you have specific things you need prayer for you can email us, call the church, or text the request to me (479)-888-7983. We would also love to hear ways God is working in your life.

I am praying daily that God will accomplish His purposes in and through us. Keep praying, reading your Bible every day, and look for ways God can use you. God is good – all the time…and we have much to be thankful for.

I love you and thank God for you,
Bro. Ronnie Deal
Senior Pastor
