Meeting Times / Get involved
Mornings – 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month; 9-11am; Sep-Dec & Feb-May
Childcare is provided during our bi-monthly meetings so you can come relax, grow spiritually, and meet other moms. At our meetings, we will fellowship over a potluck-style breakfast, have a time of devotional, listen to our guest speakers, make crafts, engage in open discussion, play games, and so much more!
Cant’t join? Get involved!
There are many ways that you can get involved directly or indirectly with MOPS Greenwood!
-
Serve in MOPSKids! We are currently in dire need of childcare workers. The commitment is only 2-4 hours a month. We have paid or volunteer positions available!
-
Provide items – This year we are in need of gift cards, raffle items, and refreshments (soft drinks, water, juices, etc.).
-
Provide dishes for the potluck breakfast during our morning sessions.
-
Pray!

FAQ's
Where do my kids go?
MOPSKids is in the PreK/Nursery building right off center street, across from Farmers Bank. Park in the parking lot with the big cross. You’ll find two double doors with ‘Pre K/Nursery’ above it, enter thru these doors and you’ll be helped from there!
Will my kids be with other kids his/her age?
Kids 2.5 and younger are assigned to a room based off milestone – non walkers (room C) and walkers (room E). 2.5yo and older will be assigned to a room based on their age.
What will my kids do?
This semester, we are using the Puggles curriculum. Your child will learn the Big Truths about God thru interactive songs, crafts and play!
What do my kids need?
If needed, please send a diaper bag, milk/water, and diapers. We may play on the playground, so send a jacket. Snacks are provided.
Where do I go?
Our MOPS meeting is in ROC Hospitality Room. The ROC is across the street from the Library parking lot.
What do I bring?
For our first meeting on September 1st (morning group), or September 2nd (evening group), FBC Greenwood is providing our breakfast. At our other meetings, we will sign up and do a pot-luck style meal. If you haven’t paid your dues or would like to purchase a shirt, please bring a form of payment.
What are dues?
MOPS Greenwood collects a $40 per year. This goes towards several things, and FBC makes up the difference on the rest. MOPS International is an organization that requires its attendees to pay a yearly membership due of $32. This membership provides you with weekly emails, a beautiful magazine, and some swag items. The remainder of the dues goes towards paying MOPSKids workers, craft costs, food and other misc. needs.
I can’t afford the $25, can I still attend?
Of course! We understand that times are weird and money is tight, if you can’t do the $25 that’s totally ok. Just let Paige know and we will take care of you!
I’m not a member of First Baptist church Greenwood, can I attend?
Of course! MOPS is a community-based ministry! You don’t need to have FBC be your church home, or even have a church home!
What if I’m a single, working, above PreK-aged mom, can I attend?
Of course! This is no cookie cutter group. We want women from all home-life’s to join us!
What do we do?
During our two hour meetings, we spend the first hour in fellowship over a potluck-style breakfast, play games, and listen to our Mentor Mom’s devotional. Our second hour varies from meeting to meeting. We do things like listen to a speaker, make crafts, partake in philanthropy activities, and have open discussion.
